Ann + Sean @ Leu Gardens

/><a rel=

One of my featured couples for my promo video being produced by Studio Osborne, Ann and Sean were kind enough to come out to Leu Gardens for a couple hours of photography fun. Which brings me to my 52 Project week 12. Did I mention Ann and Sean were also being filmed while getting their photos taken? The best part about all of this was that they haven’t had professional photos taken of them in years! What troopers! The thing I love about Ann and Sean are that they are a gaming family, WOOTLE (it’s a jenna-ism, don’t ask, lol), gamers! Like me! Ann is a SCAdian, like me! Their daughter likes acting in plays, like me! I’m telling you these guys are like long lost friends.

But even with all of that – here we are in the middle of a public park on a gorgeous sunny day – and they have a virtual paparazzi following them around – pro cameras and video equipment, snapping away and taping – and you know something, they couldn’t have looked any more at ease and in love as if they were the only two in the entire park! THAT is what I love the most about these two. They have been married for years, and that spark, that love, that passion, is there as if they just fell in love yesterday and THAT is the real thing!

I can’t begin to thank you both enough for being a part of my upcoming video and letting me have the honor of photographing your love! Not to mention for being such awesome people!!! You guys ROCK! :~D

A great set of images, you wouldn’t know they were being followed by such a huge crew – they look so at ease and comfortable in front of the camera!

Winter Park Farmers Market & Leu Gardens

How amazingly mouth watering does this look?! Kiwis! Yes! Kiwis!!! Mmmmm

/><a rel=

As I began working with Studio Osborne on my promo video this week I have been asked to reflect a bit more on myself and who I am, what I’m passionate about… As we wandered through the Farmers Market in Winter Park, I reveled in the sunlight, the sights and sounds, the smell of flowers and farm fresh produce. It reminded me a bit of home and of Pikes Place Market in Seattle – one of my all time favorite Farmers Markets. This of course led me through memories of family and friends alike.

You see, there is so much to reflect on, it’s hard to narrow it down to anything concise. I am passionate about moments, the emotions that are a part of those moments, the memories, and for me that is what photography has always been about. Memories, emotions, moments… It’s about seeing something beautiful and capturing it with all the love and passion that is encapsulated in that moment and being able to share those emotions with others through a photograph… That is what I’m passionate about. That is why I love photography, but it isn’t photography I’m passionate about. It’s the moment, the journey one takes to get to that moment, the sights, sounds, smells, emotions, memories, that is what it is all about for me.

I believe that is what it is about for my Brides as well. They can look at a photograph from their wedding day and remember what they were thinking, feel the sun on their skin, the giddiness, the love, how he looked at her when he first saw her in her wedding dress… She gets to see things that happened on her wedding day she missed because she was waiting to walk down the isle… Like her Grandmother being escorted down the isle by an usher with the biggest smile the Brides’ ever seen on her face, because somehow someone accidentally started to play the wedding march at that very moment… She can see the moments that make her sigh like her new Husband looking on with such tenderness and love in his eyes as she dances with her Father at the reception. These are the moments I’m passionate about.

So what else am I passionate about? All things fun, colorful, beautiful, and poetic. Things like… food, flowers, and farmers markets! lol. Happy Saturday and thanks for being patient for this post! Enjoy 52 Project week 12!

The tomatoes were really this red! They looked sooo delish, they had me thinking about home made bruschetta and pasta all day!

This statue was at Leu Gardens in Winter Park where Karen of Studio Osborne and I went to shoot me taking photos of an amazing couple you’ll meet in the next 52 project post! I just found it so hauntingly beautiful and romantic…

I have never seen a better photo of tomatoes in my entire life! The shots of the food look amazing, I can see you being a food/product photographer ๐Ÿ™‚

Heather + Chris Married!

/>

<a rel=

Heather and Chris have something special. I’ve known this since the first time I met them. They worked together at the time, and to work daily next to your fiance says a great deal about the love and commitment one has for each other! Seriously. That is no easy feat. But as happy as they were to work with one another, the company shut down the store, and despite all of the obstacles that came their way, they continued to post little affirmations of their love and support for one another on facebook, things that make you go “awww.” Of course, it all worked out well in the end.

However there was the common stress of planning a wedding on top of what life decided to throw at them. The big day finally came, and despite Heather’s apprehension that all would be well, with Chris’ strength and love, she found that it turned out perfectly! Family came from near and far, and there was a lot of laughter, some improvisation, and tons of hugs. Of course, there was dancing too – and maybe a tad bit of sunburn by the end of the day.

After most of the festivities, I was blessed to have a private session with just the two of them and little Jesse – who always makes photo shoots full of energy and fun! At the end of the night, they drove off with a string of cans clinking happily after their car and a big Congratulations painted on the back window!

This also happens to be week 10 of my 52 Project!

Cocoa Villiage adventures

/>

<a rel=

I met up with a friend for lunch this week and decided to take my week 9 – 52 Project photos in cocoa village. I LOVE this place. It is full of fun and interesting stores. I wanted to save some of it for another day though, so here is a little peek into Cocoa Village, and just know much more is to come! I will be starting a new weekly blog post about the things I’m passionate about – things I love – and some great wedding tips and ideas. I have a feeling Cocoa Village is the best place to start!

Bikes and Friends

/>

<a rel=So this week I got together with a friend of mine who happens to own a killer bike. He is retired from the police force and wanted to get some great pics with his bike and his gun as well… Although I know he wouldn’t mind me sharing some of the amazing photos of him, I personally decided to not do so as I know of his current career choices which may end up having stricter rules about social media and photographs.

I’m super proud of this session, so I’m a bit bummed you are not seeing all of the photos, but I can sleep at night knowing I’m not unknowingly going to be the cause of some national security issues, LOL. What I did do was take some stock photos that I could share as my 52 week project post, I can’t believe it is week 8 already! I think that it shows some diversity in my work as all of my wedding photography is usually on the lighter side.

/><a rel=/UPDATE: So after talking with my friend he stated he wasn’t worried about me sharing the photographs and to go ahead and do so… Here are some of my favs! I’m so excited you get to see these! Love them!!! Thank you Bob for such a great session!

Loved the first picture of the bike! The location looks like an awesome place to shoot too!

Jenna - March 15, 2011 - 6:58 pm

Thanks! It was a great location. Some old abandoned warehouse… Of course we couldn’t really go in or around it much – but it offered a great backdrop just as is.

Janusch - March 15, 2011 - 7:15 pm

Great pictures, keep up the good work.:)

Judie - March 16, 2011 - 7:44 pm

Great shots! I really like #5 – the closeup of the bike’s chrome and #11 with your friend.

Powell Woulfe Photography - March 17, 2011 - 9:35 pm

LOVE the edgier feel! I know that sometimes it’s fun to do these shoots that are out of our norm, and I just love what you captured!

Iric Eden - March 19, 2011 - 8:45 pm

This guy is serious business, with a dope bike. Nice shots capturing his toughness. I hope he wears a helmet! :]
