Shaneka + George Married

/></a></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><a rel=

It was a busy weekend helping out fellow photographers in arms… lol. Another Photographic Memories wedding, Shaneka and George were married on Sunday! Although we were off to a late start because the limo was almost an hour late picking up the girls, the wedding was a whirlwind of laughter and fun! The guests gathered closely around the couple as they said their vows. So close in fact, Sean and I had to work our magic to take pictures in such a tight space because the isle was full of people that were just too excited to stay seated! It was obvious that all of their family and friends have a great amount of love and adoration for them both.

Shaneka and George had a lovely event, and they looked so relaxed and calm it really rubbed off on all the guests as well. The toasts were tales to be told of their struggles and enduring love for one another. How each complimented the other just so… It really does show! This is a love that has been through it all and like true love always does, it has prevailed. When the music started up the party was on, and everyone was dancing up a storm. I do mean everyone! It was just the beginning of what will be a lifetime of adventures for Shaneka and George! Congratulations!

This is also week 7 of my 52 Project and I couldn’t have asked for a better week of photographs!

Maxime + Matt

/></a></p> <p><a rel=

As winter weddings slow down, I like to keep up my skills by working for other photographers. Well, really, I only work with one photography team, Sean and Candice. They keep busy all year with their studio work (and working on opening their studio, lol). Usually they don’t need a 2nd photographer, but as they just had a new addition to their family (Congrats guys!!!) I am helping them out a bit and am blessed to do so! After all, one only improves their skills with constant effort and work. Which brings me to week 6 of my 52 project. Yes, I know, it isn’t personal, it’s an engagement session, but I was busy this week!

Maxime and Matt are the sweetest couple. They have known one another for ages it seems, but as you can see by the way they look at one another, love is timeless. Matt has the brightest smile whenever their eyes meet, and Maxime was aglow each time they kissed. It seems like their families have gotten together for numerous gatherings over the years, and today was no exception. They posed, laughed, and shared some of the family history with us before they had to meet up with their families, coming together as they have for years… I have a feeling that Maxime and Matt will give them many more reasons to gather in the future!

Shuttle launch and FL wildlife

/></a></p> <p><a rel=

Week 5 of my 52 Project – I am posting this later than my normal Wednesday post as I wanted to capture the shuttle Discovery going up on Thursday! Sooo – here is the shuttle launch! While waiting for the launch I had some company between the dolphins and pelicans that were there to see the show! I love going to the shuttle launches, and my goal for the next shuttle launch is to represent my photography school’s newspaper and get access to the press photography area to take pictures! So exciting, there is nothing like the feel and sound of a shuttle launch. One of the many perks of living in Florida.

Emily and Nate - February 28, 2011 - 5:41 pm

I am pretty jealous you were close enough to get a picture of the launch! So historic!

Erin - March 9, 2011 - 1:45 pm

So pretty. And it is awesome you could get to see the space shuttle.

Nakia + Mark Engaged!

 /></a></p> <p></p> <p><a rel=

I met Nakia at the Bridal Show I did in January, and I knew instantly that we would get along wonderfully! I didn’t predict however that she would be my Bridal Show Grand Prize winner!!! This girl has all the luck, I’m telling you, I need to seriously go to Vegas with her! :~)

I didn’t get to meet Mark until the day of their Engagement session. Now, a self proclaimed camera shy person, I have to admit, I still don’t believe that for a second! Nakia and Mark met at work, and although Mark says she wasn’t interested at first, something tells me she has a different version of the story…

Either way, you can tell they have a love for one another that is timeless. Super supportive of one another, even through some stressful times, they just couldn’t stop laughing for the entire session – which, of course, is perfect! I can’t wait until the wedding in April, it is going to be, well, perfect!

Sarah + Darrell Married!

 /></a></p> <p></p> <p style=

Sarah and Darrell have known each other most of their lives. They were friends first, then confidants, and then they became a strength for one another that they never found with anyone else… You could say they were destined to be with one another. Sarah and Darrell have been through it all is seems, but through all the ups and downs life threw their way, they went through it all together. It seems like such a natural progression to love…

Today, on their wedding day, that was all so crystal clear. Life can be a rough ride, but when you do everything with the one you love by your side, lifting you up when you are down, laughing with you when your happy, that is what this was all about. It was a beautiful day, you couldn’t have wanted anything better. The beach was clear, with blue skies, a slight breeze, the waves coming in and out, and the sea foam glistening amid the glorious rocks warmed by the sunlight. Friends and family smiling, and having a great time… No, you couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Then it was off to the park for the reception, and there was dancing to be had! After all was said and done, the cake was cut, and the bouquet was caught, the bride and groom went for a stroll through the park for some photographs. Then, back to the beach for a couple more shots before nightfall… Sarah and Darrell have amazing friends and family that were there to be a part of their day, but when all is said and done, they have each other. After all, they are friends, confidants, and they posses a love for one another that will be shared for all time…
