The one thing that Mya doesn’t do (well, very rarely) is take a nap… She has never been a nap kinda girl, no matter how hard we have tried. It happens maybe once every three or four months, and although it normally takes her two hours from bed time to passing out, if she takes a nap, bed time is almost always even later, no matter how early she takes it. Here she REALLY needed one. Her eyes are barely open. But nope, not even a minute later she is running around the house like the energizer bunny!

There is one things Mya loves in the morning without fail, and that’s breakfast, especially if it includes eggs with cheese. Granted this was a get up SUPER late, stay in your PJ’s until noon, kinda day… So there’s that. I love it when she just takes a huge bite of something like this and in her own exaggerated toddler way exclaims “Mmmmmm. That’s my favvvorite!” A lot is her “favorite” these last few days, I’m glad she has an appreciation for healthy food. Eggs, blueberries, and beans are all on her list right now.

“Mama! Mama! The button no work! Fix it, Mama, puhleeaassseee?” Took me a min to figure out what button, then she showed me… Oh – her kitchen light needed new batteries. Easy fix!

Although she was getting a little help from her classmate (which was so sweet to watch them work together) – she really did do most of these on her own. Her number recognition is coming along nicely!

We started this really fun project when Mya was only 5 months old, finger paint a square canvas each season for the first year… Then I would add ribbon and a photo and it would be awesome! We somehow got wrapped up in summer activities, this last canvas never got made, then she started hating getting dirty in any way. I have been asking if she wanted to do this for over a year now, and she finally agreed, you know, at 2.5! Better late than never! I’m glad she had a blast today though, even if we did have to stop and wash hands twice…
